Why was the app created? Who created it?

Two high school seniors. Really, this started out as a project for a class but the both of us had an idea to build an app to help students have a fundamental idea of what college is and why it is important. Although when trying to create an app, there were expenses so we decided to take this idea on a website. We're Anjelina Nieto and Paulina Cervantes Bucio and we are students from Long Beach, California.

Paulina: It's not my fault that I didn't know what I was supposed to do or prepare. For as long as I can remember I lived in this bubble of not knowing what the next stage in education is and now I am ready to take on my future. I grew up as an only child with my mother, who is from Mexico. I grew up with little to almost no knowledge about the education system here in the US. I relied on my older cousins who live in a different state. I've also relied on hearing the experiences of other people but that was never enough to know what the terms college, scholarships, or majors were. Thankfully, I had so many teachers who made the explanation of the education simple and comprehendible. Yet it took a lot of time, and when I mean time, I mean 3 years to understand what will happen as I start becoming an adult When Anjelina introduced to me this idea of creating an app of helping students to learn about post-high school options I wanted to help as well as I knew that there were other students like me. I knew there might be students who live with few family members, or have family members who lived outside the US and or just have no idea what they want to do after high school. The internet is a good resource but when googling terms like majors, scholarships, the grasp to understand becomes a mess and stresses us. I hope that with this website, students can feel confident about their future, that they don't have to stress out for not knowing if they are doing things right or wrong. I truly hope that this website helps students find their career or option on their own feeling proud.
